The Big Tick Project

1 in every 5 dogs could be hosting a tick. Ticks are parasites that bite and feed on the blood of both humans and dogs. Ticks can transmit serious infections that can result in conditions such as Lyme disease.

'The Big Tick Project' is to raise awareness of the risks and to research how many ticks might be carrying these dangerous diseases.

If your dog has a tick, please come to the surgery to get it removed by one of our nurses free of charge.

We will then send the ticks off for analysis!
